In an unsuccessful appeal against conviction for indecent assault, evidence of the complainant's friends was admissible to rebut an anticipated defence of recent fabrication. The appellant's sentence was reduced on appeal given the anomaly in sentencing between the offences of unlawful sexual intercourse and indecent assault where the prosecution was time barred from charging the appellant with the former offence.
