Prisoners to get Asbos on release

Police have applied to get 40 anti-social behaviour orders (Asbos) on criminals to try to ensure they do not re-offend on release from prison.

A force spokesman said the orders have been used to ensure groups of offenders are prevented from getting together on their release from prison and returning to crime.
If offenders are found together - or in a place where an order bans them from spending time - they would be immediately arrested, added the spokesman.
