Prisoner legal aid challenge
PUBLISHED March 10, 2014Charities the Howard League and the Prisoners' Advice Service have sought permission to challenge the government's planned cuts to legal aid for prisoners.
They argue that the removal of legal aid for Parole Board cases and for a range of cases affecting prisoners' progress through their sentence is unlawful.
