Requirements imposed in a notice issued under the Criminal Justice Act 1991 s.65 on an offender's release from detention in a young offender institution, specifying that he was to permanently reside at a probation hostel throughout the three month supervision period and was not to leave the hostel unescorted without express permission, did not amount to a deprivation of liberty in breach of the Human Rights Act 1998 Sch.1 Part I Art.5 where the purposes of the restrictions were to protect the public, prevent re offending and effect the offender's successful reintegration into the community.
