Numbers just don't add up

As the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) finally released the details of their controversial contract with Reliance Security on their website yesterday afternoon, opposition MSPs could barely conceal their delight at the prospect of getting their hands on a document they hoped would become a political gallows for Scotland[base ']s justice minister, Cathy Jamieson.

But as politicians and journalists scrambled to dissect and analyse the contract, effectively forced into the public domain by Scotland[base ']s information commissioner, Kevin Dunion, they were confronted by a complex and heavily censored 152-page document that shed only further confusion on the specific terms of the £126 million private finance deal.
