A new organisation for investigating complaints against police officers starts work on Thursday.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has its own investigators to probe claims of police misconduct and deaths in custody.
IPCC head Nick Hardwick says the Police Complaints Authority's replacement will be "fiercely independent".
