Metropolitan Police 'completely prepared' for the Olympics

Ahead of the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony this evening, the Metropolitan Police have reassured the public that they are ready for the Games.

"We are completely prepared," Metropolitan Police Commander Christine Jones said.

She added: "It's a huge event but we have worked consistently throughout the last seven years."
