[2013] EWHC 2264 (Admin)
Despite concern about Spain's practice of holding suspects incommunicado for several days without access to a lawyer, there was no evidence of an institutional reluctance by the Spanish criminal courts to investigate complaints of ill-treatment during detention or to admit evidence obtained by ill-treatment. Accordingly, an appellant could not show that his right to a fair trial would be denied if he were extradited to Spain.
