Warrants of commitment issued in respect of two defendants following their failure to pay monies due under confiscation orders had not been validly issued, as one order failed to specify the term of imprisonment to be served in default and both defendants had been denied their right under the European Convention on Human Rights 1950 art.6(1) to a hearing to make representations regarding the issuing of the warrants.
