An admission of being the driver, given in response to the requirement that a registered owner of a vehicle identify the driver under s.172(2)(b) Road Traffic Act 1988, was admissible in evidence and did not breach the defendant's privilege against self incrimination under Art.6 European Convention on Human Rights.
