ATTORNEY-GENERAL'S REFERENCE (NO.73 OF 1999) SUB NOM R V MARK CHARLES (2000)

PUBLISHED January 18, 2000

An immediate custodial sentence was ordinarily required for an adult offender for an offence of robbery, even if the offender was of good character and had pleaded guilty. Mitigation available to one offender did not entitle another offender to earn the advantage of it.
