The test that a court currently had to apply in cases concerning the avoidance of extradition on the grounds of suicide risk was that stated in Wrobel v Poland [2011] EWHC 374 (Admin). In practice only in a truly exceptional case could a fugitive escape extradition to a Category 1 territory on the grounds of suicide risk.
