[2004] EWCA Crim 1392

The court had to impose the automatic life sentence under the Crime (Sentences) Act 1997 s.2 unless the judge was of the opinion that the offender did not pose a significant risk of serious and continuing danger to the public, having focused on the risk of violence or sexual offences.
