[2008] EWCA Crim 1203

A sentence of two-and-a-half years' imprisonment imposed on an offender who during a single trip had transported £143,725 in cash at the request of associates of his drugs suppliers was manifestly excessive where the offender had made an early guilty plea on the basis that he knew nothing about the source of the cash and the court could not be sure that he knew that the money represented the proceeds of drug trafficking.
