[2009] EWCA Crim 515

A total sentence of two years' imprisonment imposed on an offender, who had been involved in a pyramid investment scam, for carrying out a regulated activity when not authorised to do so and transferring criminal property was not excessive, particularly given his lack of remorse, his necessary role in the scam and the subversion of legal controls on investment represented a public danger.
