Although two accomplished burglars with many previous convictions were nearing a point where the court would impose the maximum custodial sentence available as a means of incapacitating them, such a sentence was not yet necessary. A term of eight years' imprisonment for conspiracy to commit five domestic burglaries was excessive and a term of six years was substituted.
