It was an offence under the Video Recordings Act 1984 s.12(1) to supply videos classified as R18 under s.7(2)(c) of the Act at any place other than in a licensed sex shop. Accordingly a licensed sex shop could not supply R18 videos by way of mail or telephone order. It was also an offence under s.12(1) to offer to make the supply of R18 videos other than in a licensed sex shop.
