WEIR v DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROSECUTIONS (2008)

PUBLISHED June 25, 2008
SHARE

A magistrates' court had erred in failing, in respect of a charge of carrying an offensive weapon in a public place, to distinguish between the defence of reasonable excuse and the question of an intention to cause injury. However, that error did not vitiate its decision to convict the appellant.
