[2011] EWHC 2836 (QB)

The court dismissed a claim for malicious prosecution brought by a solicitor's employee following his acquittal of an offence of perverting the course of justice. On the basis of the evidence available to them at the time of charge, the police had genuinely believed that there was a case fit to be placed before a jury and, objectively judged, there had indeed been such a case.
