Top criminal legal aid barristers on £500,000-plus
PUBLISHED April 21, 2005The barrister who earned the most from legal aid in 2002-03 received £800,000, according to figures released by the Department for Constitutional Affairs yesterday.
Abbas Lakha QC heads the list of the 10 biggest earners from criminal legal aid, all paid more than £500,000 in that year, the latest for which full figures are available.
