I remember my first training contract interview well. I was overrehearsed and nervous, going over the guaranteed questions of: “Why law”, “Why this firm”, “Why not banking?” I also won’t forget being questioned on the ECB monetary policy and the Eurozone crisis — and then being asked what advice I could give Rebekah Brooks in the middle of the phone hacking scandal.
