Six deny helping man accused of terror plot

Six people appeared in court yesterday charged with helping one of five men accused of plotting to kill and cause explosions in London on July 21 last year. Hussain Osman, 27, from London, was arrested after bombs in rucksacks failed to go off.

Mr Osman's wife, Yeshiemebet Girma, 29, her sister, Mulumebet Girma, 21, and brother, Sayas Girma, 20, all from Stockwell, south London, and Shadi Abdelgadir, 23, Omer Almagboul, 21, and Mohamed Kabashi, 24, all from Brighton, denied "assisting an offender" at Woolwich crown court.

All but Yeshiemebet Girma were granted bail.
