A decision not to release a British citizen, who had been convicted by a court in Laos for a drugs offence but repatriated to the United Kingdom to serve the life sentence imposed, was appropriate where despite a number of shortcomings, she had not suffered a flagrant denial of justice on the grounds of the Lao court's lack of independence and impartiality.
