The court declined to read anything sinister into the fact that there were discrepancies between sets of transcripts of proceedings prepared by different transcribers. Attempts by the claimant to reach a settlement with one of the defendants, that would have led to that defendant either giving evidence for the claimant or not giving evidence at all, did not constitute an attempt to pervert the course of justice.
