[2012] EWCA Crim 1868

The judge had been entitled to impose a sentence of imprisonment for public protection on the appellant, who had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life after arranging for a relative to fire gunshots at the home of a family with whom the appellant's family were in a feud.
