PUBLISHED February 1, 1999Under s.5(1)(a) Firearms Act 1968 as amended by s.1(2) Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 the intention of the designer of a weapon which was capable of 'burst fire' was irrespective. The test to be applied under s.5(1)(a) was an objective one.
