[2012] EWCA Crim 1863

A judge was justified in declining to discharge a juror who believed that a defendant's family had directed comments towards her because of her relationship to a police officer. He had received assurances from the juror about her ability to reach a decision uninfluenced by the incident and on the importance of her not speaking to other jurors about the incident, and no further enquiries had been necessary.
