Where there had been a delay and interruption of several days during the summing up, and the issue of bad character was raised at the beginning, the judge was under no obligation to return to the bad character issue at the end of the summing up and before the jury retired. Accordingly, the offender's convictions for conspiracy to defraud were safe.
