[2009] EWCA Crim 2254

Where an offender had pleaded guilty to offences of possession of a prohibited weapon, a prohibited firearm and ammunition, the court had been correct to disapply the five-year minimum term of imprisonment because of exceptional circumstances relating to the offender, but the offences were too serious for a custodial sentence not to be imposed and the concurrent sentences of 16 months' imprisonment imposed were plainly appropriate.
