[2003] EWCA Crim 1695

The appellants' convictions for grievous bodily harm were quashed as the defence had not had the opportunity to cross-examine the doctors of two important witnesses, who were declared medically unfit to attend trial, to establish whether the witnesses would have been able to attend to give their evidence orally.
