A sentence of 20-months' imprisonment was appropriate in the case of an offender who had pleaded guilty to threatening to kill his child, a threat he had made in order to distress the child's mother. At the time he made the threat, the offender, who was of previous good character, was suffering from depression and did not intend to carry it out.
