[2009] EWCA Crim 9

A sentence of 12 months' imprisonment imposed following a plea of guilty to possession of a false identity document was upheld as the offender had not been a victim of trafficking and therefore her case fell within the conventional sentencing structure. However, a recommendation for deportation was quashed as the judge had not acted lawfully in making the recommendation.
