[2013] EWCA Crim 2447

A trial judge had not erred in refusing to discharge a jury where cross-examination of a defendant in a fraud case had involved references being made to his other transactions which had not been declared admissible as bad character evidence. As the defendant was purporting to establish that he was an experienced businessman, who had been duped by the co-defendants, the Crown had been entitled to explore his experience and contacts.
