The trial judge was correct to impose a sentence for imprisonment for public protection on an offender following his convictions for assault with intent to rob and for aggravated burglary, as the offender's addiction to crack cocaine supported the conclusion that he would continue to commit offences and that there was a real risk of him committing serious offences so as to justify the application of the Criminal Justice Act 2003 s.225.
