[2009] EWCA Crim 3258

A provision in a sexual offences prevention order conferring wide powers of entry to the offender's home on the police was disproportionate in the circumstances. Although the offender represented a danger of serious sexual harm to the public, the power would amount to the grant of a continuing search warrant, which was not justified.
