[2007] EWCA Crim 3448

An extended sentence of imprisonment comprising a custodial term of 12 months and an extension period of two years was appropriate following a guilty plea to assault occasioning actual bodily harm where although the injuries inflicted were not serious, that was purely fortuitous, and where the offence had occurred in the context of a history of domestic violence.
