R (on the application of D) v SECRETARY OF STATE FOR HEALTH (2006)

PUBLISHED July 19, 2006

It had been appropriate to issue an alert letter, indicating to NHS bodies that allegations of indecent assault had been made against a doctor by patients, even where those allegations had been considered by the relevant disciplinary body and by police and no action had been taken. There had been a pressing need for disclosure to protect patients.
