Quality Assurance for Advocacy - The Journey so far?
In August 2010 the Joint Advocacy Group (JAG)  published a consultation paper on proposals for a quality assurance scheme for criminal advocates. The consultation document anticipated that the new QAA scheme would be introduced in July 2011. This date has been deferred until March 2012. In this article Yvonne Spencer, examines the journey so far and considers the hurdles that may lie ahead.
