[2001] EWCA Civ 324

The judge was fully entitled to send the appellant to prison for a breach of a restraining order but passing a 12-month sentence was manifestly excessive where a six-month sentence had earlier been served for a similar offence. Accordingly, the sentence was reduced to six months' imprisonment.
