There was no rule of law in the United Kingdom or Belize that a repudiation by an insurer of liability on a ground unconnected with compliance by the insured with the provisions of the policy regarding the delivery of a formal claim in writing and particulars of the loss or damage in question relieved the insured of the obligation to comply with those provisions.
