Ministers 'to scrap fraud juries'

Plans to end trial by jury in complex fraud cases are expected to be unveiled by Attorney General Lord Goldsmith.

Existing laws already give prosecutors the right to ask for a trial without a jury, but it has never happened before and requires approval from Parliament.
Lord Goldsmith is expected to outline the government's preferred alternative to juries in such cases.
