Mass cull on high street as 136 firms closed

The Solicitors Regulation Authority confirmed today that 136 firms were forced to close because they could not secure professional indemnity insurance. 

The firms had entered the Extended Policy Period after 1 October and were given 90 days to secure cover, or face immediate closure on or before 29 December.
