The last sitting day before Christmas for all London Crown Courts will be Friday 23rd December 2011.

All Courts will be closed on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th December 2011 (Bank holiday), and Wednesday 28th December 2011 (Privilege Day).

On Thursday 29th and Friday 30th December 2011 Courts will not sit, but all administrative offices will be open, save Isleworth and Woolwich which will be closed on Friday only. Court lists for Tuesday 3rd January 2012 will be finalised on these days.

Any applications for urgent hearings or 48 hour bail hearings in murder cases, which require listing on Thursday 29th and Friday 30th December 2011, will be dealt with by Southwark Crown Court, which will be open to the public, within normal office hours for emergency business only.

All applications for urgent hearings or 48 hour bail hearings in murder cases should be made to the home court, who will make the necessary listing arrangements with Southwark Crown Court. If the home court is closed Southwark Crown Court should be contacted directly.

All Courts will re-open for business as usual on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.
