The effect of the Extradition Act 2003 s.11(3) taken with s.14 of the Act was that, if it appeared to the court that it would be unjust or oppressive to extradite a person by reason of the passage of time since the alleged offences were committed, extradition was barred and a discharge had to be ordered.
