[2004] EWHC 2770 (QB)

The jury, in a claim for psychological injury and loss of earnings resulting from alleged wrongful arrest and malicious prosecution, was discharged and judgment given for the defendant where there was no evidence that, at the time of arrest, the arresting officer was acting from racist motives or to protect the wife of a fellow police officer, albeit that that was the suspicion and assertion of the claimant.
