An order that a pre-trial application to stay proceedings as abuse of process be heard in camera was an order within the umbrella of r.24A Crown Court Rules 1982 (and Rule 16B Criminal Appeal Rules). The rules provided a clear code of procedure which could be easily understood and followed.
