[2009] EWHC 922 (Admin)

Where an offender in respect of whom extradition was sought had known of the allegation against him, had confessed his guilt, had examined the criminal file against him, and had deliberately left the country before his trial, the district judge was not bound by the decisions in Albania v Bleta [2005] EWHC 475 (Admin), [2005] 1 W.L.R. 3576 and Mucelli v Albania [2007] EWHC 2632 (Admin), [2008] 1 W.L.R. 2437 to conclude that he had not deliberately absented himself from his trial.
