DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROSECUTIONS v LESLIE GEORGE COLLINS (2005)

In determining whether a message was "grossly offensive" under the Communications Act 2003 s.127(1), it was the message and not its content that was the basic ingredient of the offence. What was grossly offensive had to be judged by considering the reaction of reasonable people and the standards of an open and just multiracial society.
