Proof of a specific predicate offence was not required in order to establish guilt under the Economic Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2000 (Mauritius) s.17(1)(b). It was sufficient to show that property represented the proceeds of any crime and a failure to identify and prove a specific offence was not a breach of s.10(2)(b) of the Constitution of Mauritius.
