PUBLISHED May 18, 2006
SHARE

The legal aid scheme has undergone fundamental change over the last six years, with the move to contracting and the introduction of the Funding Code. At the same time the Specialist Quality Mark, Peer Review and the LSC's contracting strategy has ensured that publicly funded legal services are now delivered by quality assured specialist solicitors and advisers.

This consultation paper sets out our proposals in respect of reforming the LSC's current appeals procedures.

This consultation closes on Friday 28 July 2006.
